Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to HungerTap. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the HungerTap mobile application, website, and related services ("Platform"), operated by TROVX PRIVATE LIMITED.

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and any other policies published within the Platform. If you do not agree with these Terms, please discontinue use of the Platform.

2. About HungerTap

HungerTap is a smart campus food ordering platform that digitizes college canteens by enabling students to browse menus, place food orders, make cashless payments, and receive real-time order updates through the mobile application.

The Platform also provides participating canteen operators with a web-based dashboard to manage orders, streamline kitchen operations, reduce waiting times, and improve service efficiency.

HungerTap acts solely as a technology platform connecting users with participating campus canteens.

HungerTap:

• Does not prepare food.
• Does not cook or sell food directly.
• Does not operate any canteen.
• Does not guarantee menu availability.

All food preparation, pricing, hygiene, ingredients, and order fulfillment remain the sole responsibility of the respective canteen vendor.

3. Eligibility

The Platform is intended for users who are 16 years of age or older.

By using the Platform, you confirm that you meet this minimum age requirement or are using the Platform under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.

4. Service Availability

HungerTap services are available only at participating colleges, universities, campuses, and canteens that have partnered with the Platform.

Availability of menu items, pricing, operating hours, and services may vary depending on the participating vendor.

5. User Accounts

• Users are responsible for maintaining accurate account information and protecting the confidentiality of their login credentials.
• Users are responsible for all activities performed through their account.
• Users may permanently delete their account through the application in accordance with the Account Deletion Policy.

6. Orders and Payments

All orders placed through HungerTap require full payment before the order is confirmed.

Payments are securely processed through authorized third-party payment providers.

Currently supported payment methods include:

• UPI
• Debit Cards
• Credit Cards
• Net Banking
• Digital Wallets

Cash on Delivery (COD) is not available.

The Platform does not store users' complete payment card information.

7. Order Collection

Orders are collected using the QR Code provided within the application.

Users should collect their orders as soon as reasonably possible after receiving the "Ready" notification.

A minimum collection window of 25 minutes is provided after an order is marked as Ready.

If an order is not collected within this period, the order may remain available until the participating canteen closes for the day, subject to the vendor's operational policies.

If the vendor cancels an order, the user will be eligible for a refund in accordance with the Refund Policy.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

Orders cannot be cancelled by users once payment has been successfully completed.

Refund eligibility is governed by the HungerTap Refund Policy.

Where a refund is approved, it will generally be processed within 5 to 10 business days, depending on the payment provider and the user's bank.

9. Vendor Responsibilities

Participating canteen vendors are solely responsible for:

• Food preparation
• Food quality
• Food hygiene
• Menu accuracy
• Ingredient information
• Allergen information
• Pricing
• Stock availability
• Order preparation

Any complaints relating to these matters should be addressed through the Platform's support process and may require vendor involvement.

10. User Responsibilities

Users agree to use the Platform responsibly and shall not:

• Place fake or fraudulent orders.
• Attempt fraudulent payment transactions.
• Share or misuse another user's account.
• Attempt unauthorized access to the Platform.
• Reverse engineer, interfere with, or disrupt Platform operations.
• Engage in any unlawful activity using the Platform.

Violation of these Terms may result in suspension or permanent termination of the user's account.

11. Suspension and Termination

HungerTap reserves the right to suspend or terminate user accounts without prior notice where necessary, including but not limited to cases involving:

• Fraudulent activity
• Fake accounts
• Violation of these Terms
• Illegal activities
• Security risks
• Misuse of the Platform

12. Platform Availability

While HungerTap strives to provide uninterrupted service, temporary interruptions may occur due to:

• Scheduled maintenance
• Network issues
• Technical failures
• Vendor closure
• Circumstances beyond our reasonable control

During such interruptions, certain features may be unavailable. Users may still be able to access account information and previous order history where technically possible.

13. Privacy and Data

HungerTap collects and processes user information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.

The Platform does not collect users' location information.

User data may be shared with authorized third-party payment service providers only to facilitate secure payment processing and transaction verification.

The Platform may also send push notifications related to:

• Order status
• Payment updates
• Important account notifications
• Service announcements

14. Intellectual Property

The HungerTap software, platform functionality, branding, business processes, and all related intellectual property are owned by or licensed to TROVX PRIVATE LIMITED and are protected under applicable laws.

Users may not copy, modify, reproduce, distribute, or exploit any part of the Platform without prior written permission.

15. Disclaimer of Liability

HungerTap is a technology platform and is not responsible for:

• Food quality
• Food hygiene
• Allergic reactions
• Ingredient accuracy
• Vendor delays
• Menu changes
• Stock unavailability
• Vendor operational decisions
• Technical interruptions beyond reasonable control

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HungerTap's liability shall be limited to the amount paid by the user for the affected order where applicable.

16. Changes to the Terms

HungerTap reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time.

Updated Terms become effective immediately upon publication within the Platform.

Continued use of the Platform after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located at Kukatpally Courts Complex, Telangana, India.
